Post-surgery recovery nursing at home
Most surgical complications appear after discharge, in the first two weeks, at home, where nobody clinical is watching. Post-surgery nursing closes that gap: a licensed nurse who inspects the wound, controls the pain, gets the patient moving safely, and knows when a temperature is a nuisance and when it is a readmission.

Every visit is delivered by a licensed, vetted Ghanaian nurse we employ directly, with a senior clinical lead behind them.
Pain and medication management
Analgesia given on schedule rather than on request, antibiotics completed properly, and side effects reported early. Controlled pain is what makes early mobility possible.
Infection and complication watch
Temperature, pulse, wound appearance, breathing and calf pain checked at each visit, the specific signs that precede sepsis, chest infection and deep-vein thrombosis.
Safe mobility and chest care
Assisted walking, transfers, positioning and breathing exercises, progressed at the pace the surgical team set.
A direct line back to the surgeon
Where a surgeon or clinic is involved, we work as the continuation of their plan and contact them when the observations demand it, with the full record behind us.

Post-surgery recovery care: what families ask
- How soon after discharge can nursing start?
- Hospital discharges are treated as urgent. Tell us the discharge date and we work to it, ideally assessing the home before the patient arrives back in it.
- Can you follow the plan my surgeon set?
- Yes. We prefer to. We follow the written discharge instructions, and where the surgeon or clinic wants it, we give them visibility of the observations we record between their appointments.
- Do you manage drains, catheters and injections at home?
- Yes. Our nurses are licensed to manage surgical drains, urinary catheters, subcutaneous injections including anticoagulants, and prescribed intravenous regimes where the clinical plan allows it at home.
- What happens if the wound looks infected?
- The nurse escalates the same day to our supervising clinical lead and to you, contacts the treating surgeon where one is involved, and the photographic and vital-signs record goes with the patient to whoever treats them next.
