Your family's information, handled carefully

Clinical records are private by default. This page explains what we hold, who can see it, and how to change that.

What we collect

When you enquire we collect your name, email address, location and what you tell us about the person needing care. When care begins we also hold clinical information about the patient: assessments, care plans, vital signs, medication administration records, visit notes and photographs taken during visits.

Why we hold it

To plan and deliver safe clinical care, to supervise our nurses, to keep the family informed through the care record, and to respond to you when you contact us. We do not sell personal or clinical information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Who can see the care record

Only the family members the patient or their authorised representative asks us to give access to, the nurse attending the case, and the clinical staff supervising it. Where a hospital, surgeon, clinic or midwife referred the patient, we can share the record with that clinician with consent.

Photographs

Photographs are part of the visit record and are taken with the patient's dignity and consent in mind. They are shared with the authorised family only. We never use a patient's photograph in marketing, on this website or on social media without separate written permission.

How long we keep it

Clinical records are retained for as long as required for continuity of care and by Ghanaian record-keeping obligations. Enquiry details from families who do not go on to arrange care are removed on request.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent for photographs, or ask us to close an account and remove access. Write to hello@truenursecare.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
